Today we head out from our base in Roquetes and take a 40-minute walk into the historic town of Tortosa, Spain 🇪🇸
We weren’t expecting much… but what we found completely surprised us.
From a bustling local food market packed with olives, meats, and fresh produce, to stunning architecture and lively streets, this place had so much character. We also stumbled across a unique park displaying traditional festival figures, grabbed a cheap drink in the sunshine, and explored the historic centre.
But it wasn’t all perfect…
With cats everywhere (not ideal with a dog 🐶) and a slightly uneasy atmosphere in parts of the town, it definitely gave us mixed feelings. Beautiful, authentic… but also a place where you need to keep your wits about you.
