In this video we explore the town of Drayton Valley in central Alberta. This town is about 133 km southwest of Edmonton, and it's located within Brazeau County.

Drayton Valley is a major oil and gas hub within the province, and the discovery of the nearby Pembina oil field in 1953 led to a massive boom in this area.

Today, the town has a population of about 8,000 people and is a service hub for the surrounding region.

Drayton Valley is also located between 2 major rivers, and the area surrounding the town has a wide range of options for enjoying the outdoors.

This is my perspective as a tourist, I'd appreciate extra info and recommendations from people who have spent more time living here - please leave your comments below!
