In this video I compare the Alberta mountain towns of Banff and Jasper. These are 2 of the most popular tourist destinations in the Canadian Rockies and the two towns anchor separate major National Parks.

Banff National Park is 6641 square kilometers and receives about 4.5 million annual visitors. Jasper National Park is 11,000 square kilometers and receives about 2.5 million annual visitors.

I compare Banff and Jasper in the following categories:

1 - Overall vibe
2 - Surrounding area
3 - Access to goods + services
4 - Arts scene
5 - Dining + nightlife

I give my opinion on which town is better in each category, but I have allowed for ties because in some categories I think it's too close to call.

Both towns have advantages over the other, and if you haven't visited them yet you can't really go wrong with either - both Banff and Jasper have an incredible amount of features to offer visitors, both within the town and in the surrounding area.
