Exploring a cloth merchants house.

Pemberton House is a historic 18th-century Georgian building.
Built in 1754 for the wealthy cloth merchant and political reformer Pemberton Milnes, the landmark features a civic blue plaque and sits near the old and derelict railway station.

A Grade II*-listed neoclassical orangery was built around 1800 in the original gardens of the house.
Parts of the site later served as a school tied to the local Unitarian Chapel before transitioning into modern office spaces.
