Wukong is a beloved mythological deity with an extensive series of stories from various forms of media. In Exitium, he has a twist. He is smaller, more adorable, and a lot of his abilities are less supernatural and more based in the goofy technology he wields. Exitium's retelling of the Monkey King story is light hearted, and comedic. Canonically, his story is one of the first stories to ever transpire in Exitium lore. It takes place shortly after the first trial of The Ennead (in case you've read the books and want to know where this fits in.) It's also a relatively simple story. Wukong was captured by the divine gods, and sentenced to the Duat where he'd serve a sentence for his crimes. In order to be passed from the Hall of Two Truths on into the Duat, one must be consumed by Ammut and passed through her digestive track at a specific time interval. The deed of discipline was such a new concept that Ammut's first passing, was a horrible mistake, and it set free minor deities with immortal bodies. The immortality would wear off after the allotted time they were sentenced to passes, but due to Wukong consuming the fruit from the World Tree, he will remain forever immortal. Once back to the land of the living, he's pursued by various gods, deities, and even bounty hunters. As displayed in the video, he manages to fend off just about everyone. And of course he does, because this is merely an origin story! This damn video was two years in the making. (Not the actual production time.) I just had to keep putting it off for various reasons. But FINALLY it's here, and off of my to do list! Oh and by the way! This is actual Exitium lore. I know I'm posting it on April Fools, so you might be inclined to think that this is all just a joke, but it's not. This is Exitium's Wukong, remodeled to be more adorable than the typical Google image searches you'll find.
