When I heard that Infinity Ward was to include a spiritual successor to Call of Duty 4’s outstanding All Ghillied Up in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's campaign, I was a very happy chappy.
All Ghillied Up is an extraordinary level, and so I was very intrigued to see how Recon By Fire, Modern Warfare 2’s take on the concept, stacked up against the best the Call of Duty series has to offer.
Recon By Fire is unfortunately a mixed bag. There’s some great stuff but it’s accompanied by some baffling design choices, enough that I think this particular Modern Warfare 2 mission deserves a more thorough examination.
