Here we go with a remix of Cthulu Sleeps from the famous Deadmau5. Deaf Professor kept his favorite part of the track and added his own touch, twisting the whole thing to create that great remix.
Some of you might still wonder who is Deaf Professor? This talented artist coming down from Guelph in Canada is a 21 years old electronic producer that started his career not even one year ago. Deaf Professor, scene name of Mike Nelson, always got interested in the recording, engineering, and production of music. He uses the popular software Logic Pro 9 with a Native Instruments MIDI Keyboard, Mackie monitors and a Yamaha MW12 CX to produce his music. If any of you want tips on these gears, you should probably ask him! Inspired by artists like Zeds Dead, Deadmau5 and Flux Pavillion, Deaf Professor fed his talents with widely renowned producers. As you probably already noticed if you followed that last post of Deaf Professor, Cutter!, Mike doesnt bound himself to a particular genre of music. Nevertheless, his productions are mostly electronic, ranging from electro-house to dubstep and drum and bass. In every songs, Deaf Professor tries to incorporate his past influences, combining melodic harmonies with heavy bass lines to create and design sounds that you can associate to Deaf Professor.
A new song from him is coming soon, inspired by Feed Me this time. It looks like this is going to be heavy so stay tuned folks!

Today Im proud to feature the dub filled song Summertime from underrated producer Lojik. Words cant express how perfectly those jazzy Nina Simone vocals lay on the deep bassline of the song. Twisting together an almost forgotten mid 50 vibe along with a modern electronic feel, the track Summertime makes any moment of your life the perfect one to enjoy some sun, laid back on a deck chair, sipping a chilled drink (maybe a Sex on the beach, Mojito or Pina Colada, depending on your tastes). Its already mid-august on the calendar... but this songs magic enough to make our summer somehow longer.
Lojik started producing dance music about 6 years ago now but until recently, hes been making trance under the alias Afterlight. He started to find himself increasingly stuck in the constraints that trance music placed on his music so Lojik started to look elsewhere to free his creativity. Heve listened to drum & bass for a few years now and really appreciate the energy that it can create. When he first got into dubstep, Lojik realized the creative freedom that genre offers and the infinite possibilities of sounds it propose : you can take a sample from anywhere and turn it into a track.
At the moment Lojik feels the love for making music that he always used to feel before his trance started to get formulaic, so you can expect to hear alot more from and see the alias Lojik grows in the future!

Another great free release from Xasio! In Plasma, we can clearly feel some dubstep influence in the vibe. Xasio is the artist name of Angus Dibden and is a young DJ coming down from Canberra, Australia. He started his music career in 2010 when he was only 14 years old. Now 15, Xasio started to make his own music, which is mainly house but sometimes, he makes the odd dubstep track (and we can hear the flavor of that traits in this song). In the future, Xasio hopefully would like getting a record label and djing in clubs. He always had a passion for house music and it is his dream to perform as a job. Lets help him by spreading the word!

I still havent a lot of information about At Dawn We Rage. Their first release is about one year old so theyre pretty new to the scene. Nevertheless, they already came out with some massive tracks like the remix of Deadmau5s song Sofi Needs a Ladder or the edit of Dada Lifes piece Unleash the fucking data. While being influenced by the recent Dubstep movement, At Dawn We Rage have its proper style, twisting DnB drum beats with popular Dubstep Wobbles on top of first-class synths and builds-up.

This guy who comes around sometime to drop a nice comment has a given talent folks. DIRTLOCK is a student who makes music and mix in his free time under the alias... DIRTLOCK (obvious isnt it hehe?). Now 17 years old and living in Belgium, he started producing his own music in 2010, about a year ago. Interested in music since an early age, DIRTLOCK is now addicted to music and literally cant live without it. He started playing around with musical software in 2010, remixing songs and perfecting his skills mostly with Ableton Live. DIRTLOCK doesnt bound himself to a specific style, making all kind of music, in a range of genre like dubstep, house music, electro-house, DnB chill and more. Making music has become his recreation and hobby and hopefully, it shall become a more important part of his life in a near future. I will leave you on some of his words :

Some of you still wonder who is Deaf Professor? So it means you havent followed my uploads, right? Shame on you! No seriously, just kidding haha ;) Its not the first time that this great artist is under the spotlights of The BBC Music networks. This talented artist coming down from Guelph in Canada is a 21 years old electronic producer that started his career not even one year ago. Deaf Professor, scene name of Mike Nelson, always got interested in the recording, engineering, and production of music. He uses the popular software Logic Pro 9 with a Native Instruments MIDI Keyboard, Mackie monitors and a Yamaha MW12 CX to produce his music. If any of you want tips on these gears, you should probably ask him! Inspired by artists like Zeds Dead, Deadmau5 and Flux Pavillion, Deaf Professor fed his talents with widely renowned producers. As you probably already noticed if you followed that last post of Deaf Professor, Cutter!, Mike doesnt bound himself to a particular genre of music. Nevertheless, his productions are mostly electronic, ranging from electro-house to dubstep and drum and bass. In every songs, Deaf Professor tries to incorporate his past influences, combining melodic harmonies with heavy bass lines to create and design sounds that you can associate to Deaf Professor.
