Here we go with a remix of Cthulu Sleeps from the famous Deadmau5. Deaf Professor kept his favorite part of the track and added his own touch, twisting the whole thing to create that great remix.
Some of you might still wonder who is Deaf Professor? This talented artist coming down from Guelph in Canada is a 21 years old electronic producer that started his career not even one year ago. Deaf Professor, scene name of Mike Nelson, always got interested in the recording, engineering, and production of music. He uses the popular software Logic Pro 9 with a Native Instruments MIDI Keyboard, Mackie monitors and a Yamaha MW12 CX to produce his music. If any of you want tips on these gears, you should probably ask him! Inspired by artists like Zeds Dead, Deadmau5 and Flux Pavillion, Deaf Professor fed his talents with widely renowned producers. As you probably already noticed if you followed that last post of Deaf Professor, Cutter!, Mike doesn't bound himself to a particular genre of music. Nevertheless, his productions are mostly electronic, ranging from electro-house to dubstep and drum and bass. In every songs, Deaf Professor tries to incorporate his past influences, combining melodic harmonies with heavy bass lines to create and design sounds that you can associate to Deaf Professor.
A new song from him is coming soon, inspired by Feed Me this time. It looks like this is going to be heavy so stay tuned folks!

Ive got to apologize once again for the lack of activity. College is slowly starting and not that Im a student but my side job involve the preparation of physics laboratories and I have to get this done before doing anything on The BBC Music. Today Im proud to feature the dub filled song Summertime from underrated producer Lojik. Words cant express how perfectly those jazzy Nina Simone vocals lay on the deep bassline of the song. Twisting together an almost forgotten mid 50 vibe along with a modern electronic feel, the track Summertime makes any moment of your life the perfect one to enjoy some sun, laid back on a deck chair, sipping a chilled drink (maybe a Sex on the beach, Mojito or Pina Colada, depending on your tastes). Its already mid-august on the calendar... but this songs magic enough to make our summer somehow longer.
Lojik started producing dance music about 6 years ago now but until recently, hes been making trance under the alias Afterlight. He started to find himself increasingly stuck in the constraints that trance music placed on his music so Lojik started to look elsewhere to free his creativity. Heve listened to drum & bass for a few years now and really appreciate the energy that it can create. When he first got into dubstep, Lojik realized the creative freedom that genre offers and the infinite possibilities of sounds it propose : you can take a sample from anywhere and turn it into a track.
At the moment Lojik feels the love for making music that he always used to feel before his trance started to get formulaic, so you can expect to hear alot more from and see the alias Lojik grows in the future!

Another great free release from Xasio! In Plasma, we can clearly feel some dubstep influence in the vibe. Xasio is the artist name of Angus Dibden and is a young DJ coming down from Canberra, Australia. He started his music career in 2010 when he was only 14 years old. Now 15, Xasio started to make his own music, which is mainly house but sometimes, he makes the odd dubstep track (and we can hear the flavor of that traits in this song). In the future, Xasio hopefully would like getting a record label and djing in clubs. He always had a passion for house music and it is his dream to perform as a job. Lets help him by spreading the word!

I still havent a lot of information about At Dawn We Rage. Their first release is about one year old so theyre pretty new to the scene. Nevertheless, they already came out with some massive tracks like the remix of Deadmau5s song Sofi Needs a Ladder or the edit of Dada Lifes piece Unleash the fucking data. While being influenced by the recent Dubstep movement, At Dawn We Rage have its proper style, twisting DnB drum beats with popular Dubstep Wobbles on top of first-class synths and builds-up.

This guy who comes around sometime to drop a nice comment has a given talent folks. DIRTLOCK is a student who makes music and mix in his free time under the alias... DIRTLOCK (obvious isnt it hehe?). Now 17 years old and living in Belgium, he started producing his own music in 2010, about a year ago. Interested in music since an early age, DIRTLOCK is now addicted to music and literally cant live without it. He started playing around with musical software in 2010, remixing songs and perfecting his skills mostly with Ableton Live. DIRTLOCK doesnt bound himself to a specific style, making all kind of music, in a range of genre like dubstep, house music, electro-house, DnB chill and more. Making music has become his recreation and hobby and hopefully, it shall become a more important part of his life in a near future. I will leave you on some of his words :

I am proud to present to you today what is to be a brand new Big Gigantic original production. Hailing from the city of Boulder in Colorado, they are the duo who brought you the bassful and jazz filled remixes of Get Em High, Black and Yellow, Opposite of Adults, and I Need A Dolla. Not to mention on top of that the all genuine A Place Behind the Moon album.
Now featuring their latest original song The World Is Yours, you can notice if you give a listen to their prior track this one is a definite different style. The song got a more prominent dubstep taste to it, but you can still hear that jazzy touch of Big Gigantics own. Hopefully I will have more information on Big G sooner or later ;)

Two days of inactivity isnt a lot, but it matters to me to show you Im here and I care about you. I really do my best to keep the rhythm of one upload per day, but I hope you understand that it takes a lot of time to do the kind of work Im doing. Im not just throwing random free songs on the channel.
Here is a chilled song to relax yourself on to. Just thought we could take it cool on this grey Sunday. Yesterday I was invited by a producer to do some wake surf on his boat so Im just worn out today. Oh and its funny because my friend actually had an iPhone and weve played the electro and trip-hop playlists of The BBC Music and it fits perfectly to do some surf! Weve been talking with a guitar player to build up the detailed video courses on The BBC Music website so it was pretty exciting.
Enough talking for the news of The BBC Music. The song As time goes by is meant to be about time just passing by... Whilst people waste their lives away, not doing something that they love.
MYK. is a 17 year old pianist who has only been producing for about 6 months and is studying music at college. Basically the artist name MYK. just come from the nickname of Michael Hodgson. This talented guy resides in Manchester, Britain and play all of his music on his midi keyboard. Theres no samples used in his songs : MYK. does everything himself. He obviously uses a lot of piano and strings in his song. MYK. do this because he enjoy writing music for films and piano and strings are frequently used in that particular area of music. As youve probably already noticed, MYK. puts also a lot of emotions in his songs
He also used to be interested in Progressive Rock, bands such as Yes & Emerson Lake & Palmer and eventually this encouraged him to be in a band. However, as MYK. got older he started to listen to more electronic music and liked it. This is when he got started in his solo career, ending up producing drum and bass and other various genres. Current influences are Netsky, James Blake, Deep Focus, Phaeleh, Nu:Tone and High Contrast.
He uses the software Logic Pro 9 on a tidy Macbook Pro with a RD-700GX midi keyboard and a microphone to work on his sounds. He definitely create with this gear some of the most beautiful liquid pieces Ive come across. Using his talented pianist skills to build up floaty ambiance that puts you in a mood hanging between liveliness and quietness, MYK. makes yourself feel closer to paradise. With productions ranging from Drum and Bass to Orchestral Chilled song and Film Scores, you can take for granted that everything coming out of MYK.s head is a beauty.
He have a forthcoming EP with Tyrer (have a listen to their collab, when these two works together, theres magic in the air) named Radiator Games in 2011 so you might want to follow his SounCloud!
