I love how the background turned out and I will grow to love this page but at the moment it strikes me as a poor scraplift of the gorgeous original by Dorota Kruszewska. I took her heavily-embellished, richly-textured page as an excuse to tuck in lots of Calvinball points and two go crazy with vintage goodies that I rarely use. I spent two hours doing my first ever cross-stitch on the purple circle from Paige Evans and I'm SO proud of how it came out! I dipped deep into my stash for 3-d florals that I normally don't care for and I layered in lots of fibers and mesh and lace and burlap from my friend Sharon, purple goodies from my friends Gwen and Anne -- and I think Paige, Vicki, Katie and Steven are all well-represented here. There's no avocado but there is a hedgehog so I'm good.....
