Part 1 of 6 for a multi-staged, event progression zone for a now-shelved Sonic fan game. Each tune in the series is a different arrangement and style of the same base theme.

Outskirts is the most minimalistic of the 6 "acts," being a calm and peaceful tune leading up to a frozen mountainscape. The setting would be on the outskirts of a forest as the player approaches a cozy but vibrant village at the base of the mountainscape. Snow owls can be heard in the surrounding forest.
