Act 2 continues similarly to the first act, with a heavy dose of casino themed obstacles, this time more varied, and more deadly than before. Robotnik has rigged the games in this portion of the casino to work against Sonic, with games that spawn in badniks even if Sonic wins them. It is best for the player to avoid these minigames if at all possible.
The boss for this act is set inside a giant pinball mechanism, very similar to Casino Night and the Sonic Spinball game as a whole, however, this time with a twist- Robotnik is the one controlling the flippers, not you!
Robotnik is stationed in his mech in the "gutter" of the pinball machine, below the two primary flippers. Robotnik will launch Sonic towards the top of the pinball arena, in an effort to keep him away. The player must guide Sonic down the table, and try to aim directly between the flippers to hit Robotnik. The player can steer Sonic slightly as he falls, and can also jump off of walls Sonic makes contact with (again, very much like the physics of other Sonic pinball-related levels/games). After a successful hit, Sonic rolls into the side-spring, and is launched back into the pinball arena. However, with each successful hit, the roof and walls of the arena will grow more and more spike hazards that Robotnik intends to launch Sonic directly into.
8 successful hits ends Robotnik's gambling days, and completes Act 2.
