Eric Clayton Heard has had a hand in something you have probably sung along to at one time or another. Just what that might be is impossible for me to say. I only met him long after that part of his life had finished, and he never tried to take credit for any of it.
His alter-ego Billy Bob Kickarilla Cash Jr. was all the evidence I needed to back up the claims he never made! I worked as a sound engineer for several years in my early twenties so I had some small insight into the things he did in that RV. My admiration for his achievement, especially in light of the horrendous (nightmarish) condition he suffered, is beyond estimation. I went through some pretty soul destroying pain myself as I lost my teeth, but even at that I had periods of relief. Enduring intense pain like that without hope of relief is something I can scarcely imagine.
