Set during the Brit-Pop of the mid to late 90's this novel is a whip-crack sharp look at the cutthroat business of buying, making and selling music. The protagonist, Stephen Stelfox is one of the best anti-heroes I've ever read. There is nothing, and I mean NOTHING, he will not do to either make himself successful, or eviscerate his competition.
