And with that, I'm done.
Sapping and Fraility both seem to have reduced effect on Primevil so I opted for an all out offence strategy, manipulating the AI combined with a single save point rig on turn 3
Summary of Primevil's AI
Every turn, it checks the following things in order, and whichever it matches first, it picks an attack from that list.
After 51 Turns:
......Equal chance of Explode, Frigid or Storm
If on previous turn, Party used two or more of Antifire, Antivolt and/or Anticold:
......Equal chance of Pollen, Necrosis, Cyclone, Slash or Rush
Every 5 Turns:
......Use Explode
Every 6 Turns:
......Use Frigid
Every 4 Turns:
......Use Storm
If on previous turn, Primevil used Resolve:
......Equal chance of Explode, Frigid, Storm, Segment or Pollen
If the Party has 10 or more Buffs:
......Use Resolve
If on previous turn, Primevil used Membrane:
......80% chance of Necrosis, 20% chance of "HP Up" (causes Primevil to do nothing)
If Primevil's HP is 25% or less:
......Equal chance of Slash, Rush, Smash, Necrosis or Entangle
If Primevil's HP is 50% or less:
......Equal chance of Slash or Rush
If Primevil's HP is 75% or less:
......Equal chance of Slash, Rush, Smash, Entangle or Membrane
Otherwise:
......Equal chance of Slash, Rush, Smash or Melee
The trick is to get him to use Resolve on the inbetween Turns of Storm, Explode and Frigid instead of attacking you by having two buffs up. Surv and Troub both do that easily. However there is a 2 turn gap before the fully safe stuff starts. To get through that, I used the fact that a fresh reset has fixed random numbers, thereby allowing me to check which of the 5 attacks he will use on Turn 3 for sure. It only has to be one of the three elemental attacks, and then once I know I can predict it with my Protector, before starting to wail on him in a 100% predictable fashion.
