Still don't need either def boosting buffs so far, but Hexer's Sapping is very helpful since my usual route to handling annoying boss shit with my DH via binding won't work here; binding Wyrm's Arms or Head makes him spam Quake, which is a lot worse than his other attacks. No Medic because Sapping + Healing along with the odd item or two is enough for managing damage, and Sapping prevents the frontliners getting randomly oneshot by Assault.
All postgame has been done without a Medic OR Protector by someone else before, but I don't really care about banning the use of Anti Skills in a challenge run. Protector just saves money since the alternative is spamming Axcela III for constant boosted Resists from the Troub.
In case you don't know, my Troub is spamming Bravery because of the way it interacts with Wyrm's Howl ability; it's meant to reduce your attack and confuse you, but if you have an attack boost active then it merely negates the attack boost without a confuse.
I think the best way to make this strat more consistent is to not try to get two buffs up before Bravery, and instead just go for a Boosted Healing, since I should have enough TP to win before I run out anyway? I'll test that later.
That and get the Hexer to 70 so it isn't liable to get 2 shot, but whatever.
