The goal of the BCMHSUS virtual/digital innovation hub is to address clinical needs by leveraging new and emerging technologies, and transforming traditional care delivery models. Innovative approaches to mental health and substance use treatment have the to generate new value for clients and staff, as well as the organization and the broader health care system.
This initiative involves the development of a novel framework which will allow BCMHSUS to pilot, assess, evaluate and scale pioneering technologies that support clients with mental health and substance use challenges across BCMHSUS clinical programs. The first pilot project will study the clinical utility of three different wearable biofeedback devices, used to collect information from participants on (1) stress levels; (2) sleep quality, and; (3) drug cravings.
