Basic Horse Training | Essential Tips for Loading a Young Horse @BasicHorseTraining | Uploaded June 2024 | Updated October 2024, 19 minutes ago.
In this video, I show you how to put a young horse on the trailer.
This is Lilly's second time seeing the trailer (the first day is in Basic Horse Training Academy), and you will see how well our groundwork has set her up to win. I will give you some essential tips to remember when training your young horse to trailer load.
This work shouldn't be done in a day. You work a little at a time to keep your horse calm, confident and trusting in you. You also work at it with your horse AFTER you have taught your horse groundwork. Set your horse up to win!
Entering the float proves how good your groundwork and relationship with your horse are. How good is yours? If your groundwork is good and you have your horse's trust, you shouldn't have a problem loading your horse!
