Leslie is an ordained minister and bi-vocational pastor serving in the South Carolina District of the Church of the Nazarene. She is also a veteran teacher, currently teaching English online to children in mainland China. Leslie earned her bachelor’s degree in secondary education in 1985 at Aurora University, in Aurora, Illinois, her master’s degree in teaching in 2007 at American University, in Washington, D.C., and completed her pastoral course of studies in 2017 at Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is currently working towards her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Trevecca Nazarene University. Leslie lives and ministers in South Carolina, has published a book of personal psalms called Dancing with the Divine and is preparing to publish two devotionals.
