Caught live during our livestream of Episode 27 of the Kīlauea eruption while lava was shooting over 1,100 feet into the air.

This updateshorts vid didn’t go as planned… but the mic was on, the cam was rolling, and the crater kept going.

This was one of those mid-eruption moments where the gear holds, the script slips, and you just roll with it.

🎥 Episode 27 fountained for nearly 11 hours and dropped over 6 million cubic meters of lava.
🌋 Tephra was falling near V3 cam. North vent was putting on a show.
