While visiting Austin for Gina's birthday, we stopped into Pho Please for lunch and I took on the HUGE Pho challenge they offer.
It consists of 1/2 lb of beef, 2 lbs of noodles (dry weight; it's closer to 4 lbs cooked) a bunch of veggies (cilantro, red onions, bean sprouts) and 2 quarts of broth. Challengers are given 60 minutes to consume everything in the bowl and if successful, the meal is free and on top of that, you get the rolling jackpot! At the time I attempted it, the jackpot was $100.
I let the pho cool down for about 25 minutes but apparently that wasn't nearly long enough, but that's part of the challenge aspect! Enjoy and thanks for watching!
