During the investigative process after the loss of Space Shuttle Columbia's STS-107 and its crew members, NASA Glenn Research Center engineers fired a sample piece of foam into a shuttle wing to analyze the impact damage to the Reinforced-Carbon Carbon (RCC) tiles covering the wing. Video also includes footage of the actual foam debris hitting the wing of the Columbia orbiter. Credit: NASA
