Former school principle, Gary Griff, was so concerned that the beautiful town of Regent, would be forgotten. With no experience in welding, in 1989 , he started building sculptures out of scrap metal. By 2006, seven sculptures were completed and placed along a 32-mile stretch of road, now known as The Enchanted Highway.
Geese in Flight was added to the Guinness Book of World Records in 2002 for the world's largest scrap metal sculpture. It stands 110 ft high and 154 ft wide.
