Enabling Intelligent Media Playback on RISC-V - Running VLC With Whisper STT and Qwen T2T on a 40-TO - Yuning Liang, DeepComputing (HK) Limited
This session shares how we enabled intelligent media playback and real-time audio processing on a fully RISC-V-based AI PC. By running VLC integrated with Whisper (speech-to-text) and Qwen (text-to-text LLM) on ESWIN’s EIC7702 SoC with a 40 TOPS NPU, we demonstrate the readiness of RISC-V software to support mainstream AI-enhanced multimedia applications. We will walk through the porting process, key technical challenges, and how we optimized inference performance across CPU and NPU.
