The clip shown here shows the 7:30 AM train from Hornsby to the city which returned from the city, ready to carry peak hour passengers to the city.
Most of these passengers that filled the train up almost completely were commuters from the Central Coast who had to change at Hornsby due to their trains being cancelled and diverted via Strathfield instead.
The 7:30 then left Hornsby with most seats taken up, with many standing passengers, stopping all stations to the city due to additional stops at Killara, Lindfield and Roseville. It started off with the original stopping pattern but it was altered during the journey.
Just imagine how packed the train was if you were one of these commuters standing all the way to the city
This may not be a significant event but it comes to show how bad the railway system gets during disruptions.
