Making a total length of 106 km, Sydney Metro will now go from Cudgegong Road all the way to Badgerys Creek via Chatswood, the city and Bankstown. 40-kilometer extension will consist of 14 new stations and a Maintenance Facility at Luddenham.

The Metro will give investors and first home buyers to purchase a home near new public transport facilities and the Metro will enhance the development of new communities.
The downside to this project however may result to further overcrowding on the Metro and this may still not be an appropriate option for commuters travelling to and from Badgerys Creek across large parts of Sydney.
Length (extension) (including Luddenham): 40.4 kilometers
Top speed: 100 km/h (Depending on rolling stock properties)
Track gauge: 1435 mm (standard gauge)
