There’s something about organized crime, and gangster themed media that has always interested me. Empire of Sin, in one such title that has been on my radar since day 1. This strategy RPG is set in in Chicago during the 1920s, where you take the role of a Crime boss, in charge of managing their empire, and taking over the city. Now, Empire Sin is a little rough around the edges, with many bugs and glitches, but it has some brilliant ideas. There is so much potential here, with many addictive mechanics, but also has a lot of room for improvement. This review is going to look into what works well, and what doesn’t, and hopefully help you decide if Empire of Sin is worth playing.

Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling Together is a PSP remake of the Japanese exclusive Tactics Ogre, released on the Super Famicom in 1995 (later ported to the PSX in North America). This is one SRPG I’ve been wanting to play for years.
A few years ago, I had my first taste of the series, with Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen. Let’s just say, I had a few issues with it, and my motivation to play the other games in series, was now gone. Fast Forward to 2022 and a Remaster of the PSP remake, titled Tactics Ogre Reborn, was born.
This one is very meaty remaster, with loads of changes that both enhances the original experience, and also changes up the gameplay significantly. But is this remaster worth your time? Watch and find out!

It’s absolutely crazy that Trails fans didn’t even have to wait a year for the followup up to Trails Through Daybreak. This series has become one of my favourite gaming series, and I could not wait to see how the Calvard arc continued. Fortunately for us, Falcom and NIS America are doing everything they can to get these games to use soon, and I appreciate that so much!

From the moment Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was first announced, I knew that we were in for something special, but I had no idea how special it would be. Clair Obscur was developed by French independent studio Sandfall Interactive, which is made up of only 30 people. The game takes inspiration from JRPGs, such as Final Fantasy and Persona, and it really feels like the game was crafted by long time JRPG fans, with their love of the genre, shining through every step of the way. What Sandfall Interactive created in their debut title, is nothing short of a masterpiece. One that will no doubt be in contention for Game of the Year!
There is absolutely zero reason why you should not play Clair Obscur, and I’m here to tell you why, in the most spoiler free way possible.

The reason I decided to play Hades was due to the overwhelming acclaim that it has received since its release. That, and the fact that it’s the fourth title from Supergiant games, and they do not know how to make a bad game. In fact, I would go as far to say that Hades is their best work yet!
This Roguelike dungeon crawling RPG even received a nomination for Game of the Year at the game awards, and I certainly wouldn’t have been upset if it won...... It’s that good.
This review is going to look into why Hades is an absolute masterpiece, and a must play for every gamer.

Has anyone out there heard of Fuga: Melodies of Steel? I feel that no one is talking about this game. It’s almost like it completely flew under the radar, and this is a shame, because Fuga: Melodies of steel is a really enjoyable turn based RPG, with kitties! And puppies!
Fuga: Melodies of Steel is the latest title in the long running Little Tail Bronx series. This series is developed by CyberConnect 2, who have developed some pretty big titles, in including the .Hack series, DBZ Kakarot, and about a million, Naruto games.
If you’re after a fairly short, simple JRPG, with cute characters and a solid turn based system that can be quite challenging, Then Fuga: Melodies of steel is worth looking into.
