In this section of the book, I remembered why I find Emma frustrating. It's really hard for me to watch her be a wealthy, privileged, beautiful, intelligent person behaving badly. Yes, she's young. Yes, I can make allowances for us all making mistakes. And yes, she does come to understand and regret her mistakes. But that doesn't mean I have to like reading about her!
