The Tinyhawk product range from Emax may seem very "locked down" at first glance. Proprietary FC/ESC board size, mounting patterns or even props means that you won't be swapping around parts easily. BUT there is a very important reason behind this: TINYHAWKS SIMPLY WORK and fly very well, right out of the box.

The Tinyhawk II RACE version, together with the Tinyhawk II (1-2S whoop) and the Freestyle II, are the latest BNF micros from EMAX and oh boy…. it has been a TON of fun flying this one in a micro FPV race track.

Tinyhawks have been the easiest no-brainer recommendation for someone getting into this hobby without breaking the bank and spares prices are more than fair. Repairability of the All-In-One board is the main issue though: aside from the VTx all the rest (FC+ESC+Rx) are built into the main board and repair requires good electronics skills. At least there are pads to connect an external receiver if necessary.
