One of my earliest memories is my parents singing this song to me when I was a baby. I remember my dad singing this and my mom doing her version in her broken english. She had only immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong 6 years earlier. When they sang this as a lullaby it felt warm, sweet and comforting. I tried to do this from memory, so this is recording is a bit shaky (I was trying to remember the lyrics and the thought of my folks was choking me up a bit).
