Title: Polynomial effective equidistribution for unipotent flows in forms of SL_2^n
Abstract: A landmark result of Marina Ratner established equidistribution of orbits of unipotent flows in quotients of Lie groups. Ratner's result was purely quantitative and does not come with a rate. In my talk I will present an effective and quantitative equidistribution theorem when one looks at $S$-arithmetic quotients corresponding to forms of SL_2^n. Already the case of SL_2(R)/SL_2(Z) x SL_2(R)/SL_2(Z) studied in previous work with Mohammadi and Zhiren Wang has applications to pair correlations of values of binary quadratic forms. Joint work with A. Mohammadi & Lei Yang.
