Title: Efficient stability for the lamplighter
Abstract: I will talk about joint work with Thomas Vidick, showing that the lamplighter group is Hilbert Schmidt stable with polynomial rate and radius. This shows that for arbitrarily many projections conjugate by a unitary evolution, if polynomially many almost commute, then they can be corrected to nearby conjugated commuting projections.
