Title: Character varieties of random groups
Abstract: I will discuss how random groups (a la Gromov) map into semisimple Lie groups with Zariski-dense image and how one can study the moduli space (character variety) of such maps. I will describe several results that describe the geometry of the character variety. The method use a group sieve that exploits the uniform expansion results of talk 1. From joint works with Oren Becker, Peter Varju and Itay Glazer.
