Despite its name, its elongated 'nose' isn't a nose at all. In fact, it is actually its chin! Also known as a Shnauzenorgan, it is used a bit like a metal detector. By emitting an electrical field it is able to find prey hiding in the muddy riverbed..... how clever is that?!
