🎨 What Are the Elements of Art?
The Elements of Art are the building blocks for any kind of artwork. Whether you're into landscapes, still life, portraits or abstracts, you'll use a combination of different elements to create your pieces.
🌟 Today, we’re diving into Color.
Color is a powerful element that artists use strategically to: communicate specific emotions/ideas, create striking visual effects, develop harmony/integration, and bring more of themselves into their work.
Thre 3 properties of color are:
👉Hue: The name of the color (e.g., red, blue, yellow).
👉Value: The lightness or darkness of a color.
👉Saturation: The intensity or purity of a color.
Understanding Color Theory helps artists make deliberate choices that enhance their compositions.
This reel is part one of my new series, where I’ll break down all 7 Elements of Art:
✅ Line
✅ Shape
✅ Color
✅ Texture
✅ Form
✅ Value
✅ Space
