In honor of Cinco De Mayo, here's a fun tune... and while it's technically Spanish, it's popular in Mexico as well. Written in 1918 (all hail the public domain!) by Jose Padilla, it was featured in the Valentino film, 'Blood and Sand.' Valentino actually recorded it, and along with 'Kashmiri Love Song' it's the only record of his voice. Upon hearing the playback he remarked, "Well, there goes my opera career!" Still a good record though. And hey, my Spanish is... okay - as I say, "Not bad for a guy who took two years of French One."
