Here's a fun little pop tune from the 1932 film 'The Crooner,' which may or may not be 90 minutes of poking fun at Rudy Vallée! It's a film about a saxophone player turned vocalist who gets his start when the singer fails to show for a session. He's even given a megaphone to sing through!
This is from our New Years Eve 2018 celebration at the Kessler - with all the Covid stuff happening I thought it'd be a good time to pull some stuff from the archives to post. Enjoy!
Video by Irwin Arnstein, who also plays tuba in the orchestra. The venue is The Kessler in Dallas, TX. For more info on the band, check out MattTolentino.com/SingaporeSlingers
