EGPU solutions have typically been aimed at wealthier consumers. Even DIY setups can be expensive, so they tend to be reserved for only high end graphics cards. The advent of cheap Oculink adapters has opened up the field, and now RX 580s and other cheap GPUs are viable ways of adding some 3D gaming horsepower to an otherwise incompatible machine.

In this video, I test out an RX 580 2304SP 8GB version and an RTX 3050 6GB with a budget mini PC, an old power supply and a cheap Oculink adapter from Amazon, and compare them to integrated graphics.
