In this video we install a cheap replacement Controller on the EGO LM2100 Mower. It was a fun project and I share a quick preliminary wiring schematic of this as well. Many ways to do it and I shared the way I decided to do it. You could still use the OEM Start switch for load and not use the relay if you wanted. With the 40A and the 60A Controllers you have the On/Off feature of the potentiometer to tie in to the LVCO protection module if desired and still use the Switch for braking as well. Any attempt to modify equipment is done at your own risk so please take all safety precautions. Hope you found this video helpful and thanks for watching! Pros to this modification:
- Cheaper, Voltage read out, Less load on Start Switch, Keep safeties as needed, variable speed if desired, fun to do, make it your own, can even make your own battery pack!
Cons to this Modification:
- Takes time, consider safety, maybe some trial and error, head lights non-working unless re wired, lose low battery led indicator.
