Very rare song from an obscure English band called Effigy. They recorded one demo, "Burnt offerings", possibly in 1983 that "Isabel" is an extract from. This song also appeared on a tape entitled "Happiness or depression, it must be boring being a tortoise" with bands from the Luton area, compiled in 1984. Musically, this is catchy, tuneful, slightly moody female-fronted punk-rock, somewhere between A-Heads and The Expelled.
