A recent study by the publication Education Week suggests that tens of thousands of schools in the U.S. don’t have working fire sprinklers. Of the 110 school principals nationwide who were surveyed about the buildings where they work, 40 percent said their school did not have fire sprinklers installed. Another 13 percent said their school did have sprinklers, but they were unsure if they worked.
