Over 50 billion tons of greenhouse gases are released into the atmosphere every year. But where do they come from and how can we reduce them?
EDGAR (Emissions Database for Global Atmospheric Research) tracks emissions from industry, transport, agriculture, and more. With high-resolution maps from global to city level, EDGAR gives policymakers and the EU the data they need to design strategies, track climate targets, and drive sustainable change.
EDGAR-FOOD zooms in on the food chain, measuring its emissions and showing how sustainable practices and innovation can reduce the global impact of what we eat.
Together, EDGAR and EDGAR-FOOD are powering Europe and the world toward climate neutrality, guiding policies, investments, and a greener future for all.
