I've Got Sunshine Up My

My last release of 2022. The ideas for the song began when i rewatched "ali g indahouse" (2002)and some of the hip hop tracks inspired me to give breakbeat another try. The melody and instruments came together quite quickly. About a year ago, i had much more problems constructing long melodies but it seems that i've overcome (some of) those problems. Another big inspiration for the song were probably a couple of Aphex Twin's more chill dnb tracks. I wanted to have some fun with the name so i chose that one.

As this is the last thing you will probably hear from me this year, i want to say some additional things. It's a bit awkward that my twitter and (private) instagram are both in german so i can't really use them to speak to my non-german-speaking audience (not that it's a huge audience, but i want to be a bit more inclusive). But you can certainly contact me through those platforms, wherever you can find me. I tried to manage an english instagram account but i just don't have the time and energy to create those posts as i do on my german account, where i go a bit more in-depth about the creating process. I try to compensate that with these texts under my soundcloud and youtube posts.

Anyways, what i actually wanted to say is that i'm very happy about how things evolved with my music throughout the past year. I had a couple of new mile-stones, learned a lot of new things and realized (again) that i have still no real clue how all of this works but i'm still making improvements. I also managed to hit my goal of 13 songs, i'm curious on how long i can keep that streak. There are now also a few more people who listen to my (non remix) stuff, which makes me very happy and i'm glad that you seem to enjoy some of my work. And that you are reading this, because writing these texts also takes some time. Sadly, there weren't any collaborations with cuzizme or nivkii this year, hopefully there will be some next year (there are some things planned, but you never know how things will turn out).
