Beyond the Cellar Door

Quick! Before the year runs out! The Project started the day after my old smartphone broke down back in November 2023. Quite a lucky coincidence as i wanted to make a more aggressive "in your face" electro track for years, but never had the sincerity behind it.

The Song turned out to be a mix of the Halloween theme and Mr. Oizo, which i quite enjoy. It came together rather quickly and the last few month went into the mixing and mastering, which was quite a challenge, as i usually do quieter songs. I don't know when somebody is supposed to listen to this track but i guess whenever they feel like it.

The artwork was inspired by the batman the animated series art style, which i watched during the early days of the project. Probably not the most fitting, but at least not too boring.

I guess that's it for 2024. "Only" five songs got released, which is definitely a huge step down quantity wise from the last years, but we coincidentally made huge step up quality wise (at least in my oppinion). I also started a lot more songs than got released so the next couple of years should already be set.

- the theme was inspired by some old slasher/horror movies
- the name was inspired by a magic: the gathering card
- initially it was "behind" the cellar door but i thought "beyond" sounds better
- it has 113 bpm
