1Quick reusability,
2 Easy sliding up of the rootball with no damage to tray or roots,
3 Rapid growth of tiny seedlings with no waterlogging
4 Reduced amount needed of potting mix.
The trays are made by Containerwise. See their website for an offer which gives you a free CD60 tray with each order over £50 in December.
I decided to design these trays because I couldn't find a tray that lasted. There are three different sizes, 15 cells, 30 cells and 60 cells. Each cell is tapered and holds a small amount of compost. The tapered design helps with drainage. In this video I show you how I fill a tray and sow Sweet Pea seeds. All the plants in the greenhouse started life in these module trays.
