This easy Raspberry Pi Minecraft server tutorial will take you through everything you need to do get your own small private server up and going.

In this particular tutorial I am using the spigot version of the Minecraft server. This version runs better than the vanilla both on the Raspberry Pi and on other systems. Whilst you can still use the vanilla version I came across a lot of problems with it.
I am also using the Raspberry Pi 2 in this video, this is the latest version of the Pi. I suggest using this version for something like a Minecraft server because it has a lot more power than the previous versions.
To access the Minecraft Server on Raspberry Pi over the internet requires a method called port forwarding. If you want learn how to set this up, then be sure checkout my video on it or my tutorial over at the website. You will need to open up the port 25565 to the IP of our Raspberry pi.
