Let me show you how to build an easy pergola or DIY patio cover. I bought a brackets kit from https://outmos.com.au/ then purchased the timber to suit the size i wanted to make. I cut everything to size myself but you can get it cut wherever you buy it. I added a sheet metal roof and used angle flashing at one end and infill foam to stop the rain coming off the front edge. It all flows off the back edge into the garden. You will need 2 to 3 people to build this in just a couple of days.
