It's great to gain the ability to CC the mobs with freezing. But what if you can do damage at the same time.

In Theater Mechanicus you can use the shatter effect to deal damage. The damage scales with the claymore character level and their elemental mastery.

My razor is level 79 and has 603 elemental mastery(200.4% shatter multiplier)
