East Inlet Trail & Adams Falls in Rocky Mountain National Park
In July of 2021, we traveled to Rocky Mountain National Park. During our visit we stayed in Grand Lake on the west side of the National Park. Please subscribe to our channel if you enjoy exploring our parks and public lands.
Since we made Grand Lake, Colorado our home base for our trip to Rocky Mountain National Park in July of 2021, the East Inlet Trail was a great option for getting to the trailhead early in the morning. The volunteers at the Visitors' Center told us that it was a beautiful hike that had not been affected by the fires from 2020 much and that there were waterfalls and vast views at about 3 miles in. Waterfalls and views are two things that we really look for when we are in the mountains. We got a nice early start from the W Portal Road Parking lot and hiked about 3.25 miles in. The trail goes much further into the park, but we were not out to conquer anything that day. Just wanted to get away from the crowds. There are backpacking campsites all along the trail.
