On this day in 1944 Dutch gunboat HNLMS Flores was one of the ships that shelled the German positions on Gold Beach. Within 90 minutes she fired 154 shells with her 150mm guns. With this intense fire, she neutralized the 75 mm guns of the battery of Arromanches-les-Bains. #DDay79 #DDay
