Day 14 of my ER Tech Tutorial Advent Calendar! Having looked at various types of "display", including e-Ink and OLED, here's a video about a slightly more traditional type of visual presentation - the humble piece of paper ;)
From hand-written notes scrawled by prisoners to the formula for an antidote to a zombie toxin, there's plenty of examples of paper puzzles and props in escape rooms. Nothing breaks immersion like seeing these papers in laminated plastic covers, but how else do you make them durable enough to withstand the demands of an escape room environment?
Today's video demonstrates one solution - using cotton canvas paper, which can be written on or printed using an inkjet printer, but cannot be ripped, and retains its shape even after being crumpled up.
